Miracle One
I first became aware of Christian shortly after he released Level One, people were buzzing about how great it was. However, my focus is on Mentalism so I didn’t give him much consideration.
I rather stupidly thought he was a finger flicker magician but I think it’s safe to say I had no clue just how brilliant Christian Grace is. Since Level one Christian has released a few other effects and launched a private members club.

I heard about a fandabydozy ACAAN that Christian had created about 2 years ago, but I wasn’t all that impressed because I knew how it was done.
Oh yeah, how is it done then?
Well I’m not a grass but I’ll tell you: It’s done…

Ok truth be told, I had no idea how it was done but I assumed it was a knuckle buster so I forgot about it. Until Vanishing Inc sent an email out about Miracle One a few weeks ago and curiosity got the better of me, so I put my hand in my pocket and bought it.
Enough Flim Flam, what is it?
Miracle One is an ACAAN style effect which is without a doubt among some of the best I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot of ACAANs!
Miracle One seems so fair and that’s because it is fair, nobody expects to be able to handle the cards or freely select a number without some kind of interference from the performer.
Here’s how it plays out: Two decks of cards are introduced.
Wait, what? Why does it need two decks?
If you let me finish, I’ll tell you!
Two decks of cards are introduced: One red and one blue. The spectator shuffles one of these decks, then selects a card and places it off to one side as a prediction. The spectator then freely names any number between 1 and 52.
No funny business, it feels like a totally free choice.
They then deal the cards in the other deck to their chosen number. The card at their chosen number is turned over and it perfectly matches their prediction card from the first deck.
Christian says: Miracle One is a super clean and fair ACAAN style effect that works every time, with no difficult sleight of hand. It’s a true miracle that any magician can do.

As my regular readers will know; I’m not great at handling cards but I do love a good arm wrestle!
I graciously accepted Christians challenge, parted with my cash and was mentally preparing to go to war with him and his surreptitious methods. Well, I was wrong (again!) The blighter was only telling the flipping truth!
There really is NO DIFFICULT SLEIGHT OF HAND!
Obviously there’s something more going on behind the scenes
but as David J Lustig once said:
Effect is what counts, Modus Operandi is secondary
Anyway, your audience will never know because everything feels totally fair. I wasn’t disappointed. Christian has made this so easy that you don’t even need to handle the cards, you can literally allow the spectator to do everything. That’s about as fair as you’re ever gonna get!

Well, for 65 smackers you get video instructions… You’re gonna need these! You get two decks of cards: One of these is gaffed up to the eyeballs and the other deck has a few extra cards, just because Christians a generous guy.
How generous is he?
Christians so generous he even gives you Crabs.

This is basically just a card with the Cr*b printed on it, you also get a pdf of the Cr*b s***t, just in case you want to print them out as stickers. You also get another video download.

Ok you don’t really get peanuts, but I needed to say something quick and peanuts was the first thing that popped into my head.
Christian has done a fantastic job with Miracle One, it is perfect for anyone looking to add a real miracle to their act.
Sure the handling will take a little bit of practise, but there’s definitely no finger flicking or knuckle busting moves going on here. Once you’re comfortable with the handling, you’re ready to perform one of the most deceptive ACAAN’s ever.
Given everything I’ve already said, it should come as no surprise that I’m awarding Miracle One EFFOM status!

Listen here buster; I made it up, so I get to name it and I named it EFFOM! The price for Miracle One is £65, which I think is a reasonable asking price for such a delicious ‘trick’.
